Appscope shows public App Store data and analysis of public App Store reviews. This page explains what we collect about you when you use it.

What we collect

  • Your account. When you sign in: your email address, your plan, and which teardowns you've opened or unlocked.
  • Payments. When paid plans launch, they are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • Things you send us. Emails, sponsor requests and anything else you choose to send.
  • Your browser. We store your theme choice and similar settings in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising trackers.

Who handles it

  • Vercel hosts the site.
  • Supabase stores accounts and app data.
  • Stripe will process payments.
  • Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, and app icons and screenshots load from Apple's servers, so those services see your IP address when the page loads.
  • Anthropic (Claude) reads public App Store reviews to build teardowns. We don't send it your personal data.

App Store reviews

Teardowns quote public App Store reviews with the star rating, country and month. We don't show reviewers' names. If a quote is yours and you want it removed, email us.

Sponsors

Sponsor tiles are plain links. Sponsors don't get any data about you from Appscope.

Your choices

You can delete your account and its data at any time from your account page. To ask for an export, email us.
